Liturgy provides different roles: 1. the celebrant and minister, 2. the choir and cantor, 3.
the community (congregation). The choir is a ministry. The choir enhances the meaning

The purpose of the Ministry of Reading is to proclaim the Word
of God in Liturgy to help the faithful develop a deeper
understanding and love for Sacred Scripture through prayerful
spiritual preparation and skillfule technical preparation. The
reader's mission is to share God's Word so that the Word comes
alive and refreshes the faith of the congregation.

These individuals welcome the people as they arrive
and create a prayerful atmosphere by escorting
people to seats, taking up the collection, handing

This committee plans and implements the
decorations in the church including banners, flowers
and plants, and other items to enhance the worship
of the assembly.

| DAUGHTERS OF MARY |
This organization unites the women of Resurrection in action
to promote spiritual and social activities, to sponsor
fund-raising projects for the parish, to encourage Catholic
family traditions and values, and to stimulate the
organization to greater usefulness in meeting the needs of the
parish. Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month at

| KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS |
The Knights of Columbus is based on Charity, Unity, Fraternity,
and Patriotism. Resurrection's council is a very active branch of the
largest Catholic fraternal organization in the world. Meetings are
held the 1st and 3rd Monday every month at 7:00pm. youner men
(ages 10-18) are invited to join the SQUIRES CIRCLE.

| MEN'S CLUB |
This group performs services and fund raisers for
the parish and is a social and spiritual organization
for the men of the parish. The Men's Club gahers
at 6:30pm on the 4th Thursday of each month for a
meal followed by the meeting.

| SOCIAL ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE |
This group plans and executes all major parish social
events in the parish, including picnics, dinners, auctions,
rummage sales, etc.

| MINISTRY OF THE SICK |
These individuals make visits and take the Eucharist to
residents of nursing homes and other care facilities as well
as individuals at home. Diocesan training is required.

This committee of trained people assist loved ones on the
death of a relative by assisting in funeral arrangements and
